I was first under the impression that the property was a home but it turned out to be a condo. I was also under the impression that the property was beachfront access but it was not. With the weather turning out to be a little dicey it ended up O K. The property is well maintained but had some small problems that I am sure will be taken care of soon. Overall it was a great experience for my first trip to the big island. I would recommend it to a small family or a group of friends very highly. Parking was sometimes a problem, but with everyone charging for parking I can understand. Beach view is great.

The view from the airbnb is very beautiful. Watching the sunset every evening was amazing. The kitchen was very nice, and they provided alot of towels for pool and bath. The laundry was helpful too for washing swimsuits. They also have 2 pools. One was under construction when we went. But the second one was still available.

We loved it here. This is so close to the ocean and very private for a condo complex. We loved watching the waves crash on the sea wall while sitting on the lanai. The bedrooms are comfortable and the showers are clean. When we arrived, there was a mechanical problem with the A/C, but the manager brought in a repairman from the other side of the island to put in a new blower unit. This unit has two sliding doors, one facing the common area and one facing the ocean. That was so nice for cross breeze when we had the A/C off.The salt pool is awesome! Sometimes the ocean waves would splash over the sea wall into the pool adding to the ambiance. Free coffee was available every morning at the common area right outside the unit. It was easy to find the unit and to get in with the security codes. There was plenty of parking, and sometimes we parked right in front of the unit. The kitchen was very well appointed with nice appliances and even a dishwasher. Hint: the oven seems to work best on the "roast" setting. The manager left whole-bean coffee for us to enjoy. It was awesome! The unit is stocked with plenty of bath and beach towels and other beach stuff.We had a great time, here.

We had a really great visit to Kona with our family. Casago Kona was perfect for our family with plenty of room, kitchen supplies and extras like snorkel gear, beach supplies, etc. The lanai has a perfect, unobstructed view of the sunset every night. Our kids enjoyed both of the pools and the grounds were well maintained. Unfortunately due to hurricane Lala, we had to depart a day early off the island. We had no issue getting refunded for our unused night due to the circumstances and really want to highlight the excellent communication with the property manager. Thank you!

Had an amazing stay at this property! The ocean-front view cannot be beat (easily some of the best sunsets we’ve ever seen). Our teens loved the saltwater pool-warm and again, fantastic view. Kitchen had everything we needed-bonus points for having a rice cooker!! Check-in and check-out was a piece of cake and the communication was fantastic. We were able to get back to the property before 5pm each day so was able to park right next to unit. I’d imagine it would be a little more challenging if we had returned later in the day but still not a far walk. There was a convenience store located at the front of the property that had all the items we needed which saved us tons of time. Will definitely stay here again if we get lucky and it’s available!!

The condo was big, clean, amazing views of the ocean as advertised and the grounds were beautiful. The private sand beach with lounge chairs and the two pools were amazing. We could not have asked for a better experience with Casago Kona. Carl and Ryan (property manager) were great and were beyond accommodating with our stay. Ryan, you are the best, thank you for the luggage storage and room!! We will definitely let everyone know what a great place this is to stay and to book with. Amazing vacation with Casago for 4 days.

Good location, close to town. Property is nice for a home base that's more reasonable than some other properties that would be considered more on the luxury side, but the grounds are well maintained and the place well-stocked, so no complaints (except maybe no AC in the bedroom and a very loud fan ticking :-) Overall, really enjoyed our stay and had good communication with the host.

It was great ! Great view, suited us just fine. Only complaint was you don’t always get a parking spot most nights we had to park way upfront out of the gates. It’s can be a walk especially if your hauling luggage. For the money I’d think you would have a place to park. But other than that the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Kids loved the pools. Sunsets are amazing and you have a front row view.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at this oceanfront unit. The location was perfect — being right on the ocean was a major highlight. The saltwater pool was enjoyable, and we appreciated having access to the grill on our first night. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had what we needed for a short stay.There were two minor hiccups during our stay. We didn’t have WiFi the first day; however, the host was very responsive and quick to troubleshoot the next morning, which we appreciated. There was also noticeable foot traffic from the unit upstairs at times.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. Mahalo!

Great location, directly on the oceanfront. The complex is a bit dated, but the unit was remodeled and in decent condition. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of towels and a good amount of beach chairs and toys. The parking situation isn't great. There are 3 or 4 spots directly next to the unit but were never available our entire stay. In fact, we were never able to park inside the gates at any point during our stay. We had to park out in the liquor store parking lot. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.Communication was bad. Both the microwave and oven were not working from day 1. We received a text from the management company asking us how our first day was, I responded by informing them the ovens were broken. No response. On the final day of our vacation, they told us they would send somebody over to repair. Obviously too late to help us but hopefully the next guests enjoyed the microwave popcorn we left behind!

Staying this close to the ocean, hearing the waves the entire time we’re there, with an unobstructed oceanfront view is what we CRAVE! My early riser husband drinks coffee, reads, relaxes and watches for whales while he waits for me to wake up and get ready. We both dined and played cards on the lanai as well. Having two bathrooms was nice. The main shower and tub were spacious and included full size toiletries. The home was clean, organized and well appointed with amenities like beach chairs and beach towels that came in handy for our day trips and activities. We purchased a soft cooler, some of our food and drinks from Costco, and bought Local for almost everything else. 100% would stay here again!

Very pleasant experience. Some small issues: parking is somewhat difficult. Several nights had to park up hill outside the compound. Grab bars in the showers and near toilets would have been helpful. Some repair detail in need were apparent but not serious. Views from the lanai are spectacular. Coffee at the communal bar in the morning was very nice. Access to the salt water pool needs attention.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The place was spotless and very well kept, with plenty of extra towels provided. The grounds were quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax and unwind. Great location and condo is in a premier spot. (You will pay premier nightly rate as well.) Condo has updated kitchen which was nice. Everything else is a bit worn but fine. One sliding glass door didn't open well so we didn't use it. Had an issue with cleanliness of blankets which was handled quickly. As noted by others one bedroom does not have a solid wall with door - it is more of a sliding door that acts as the wall. This was fine for our group but with mentioning. We had adult kids on the pull out sofa which would use an upgrade for the price you are paying. That said, this place is about location and can't be beat. Outdoor salt water pool was also nice. Overall good place, great location.

My family had an amazing time at the condo. The location was amazing, the grounds were beautiful, and the view was absolutely incredible. The layout of the house was great for a family of four. They provided everything we needed. The only thing that stood out the condo had a dank smell at times, some of the walls were banged up, and the hall bathroom needs a new toilet seat. Overall, an amazing place and I would rent the condo again!

The lanai area is a very relaxing place to enjoy your morning Kona coffee or just to sit and relax and watch the beautiful ocean/waves. The fully equipped kitchen was very much appreciated, as was the washer and dryer in unit. We swam in the salt water pool right by the unit and really really enjoyed the waves crashing right next to us. There was a common area with tables, chairs and BBQs that we saw many people enjoying. Casago Kona management company left a small bag of Kona coffee, some cookies and treats and had an extra garbage bag, along with four washing detergent pods. This was a really nice touch and we really appreciated the gesture. Check in time is 4 pm but Ryan was able to get us in a little after 2 pm. Thank you for that. As other people have stated, the complex is older and while the unit has been mostly updated, the complex shows its age. The beds were excellent. Mahalo

Arriving after dark with the surf high was such an amazing experience! Every day with the views both directions was so wonderful! We loved the grounds, and our group of 5 could disperse for reading in the afternoon easily. The accommodations were super comfortable and provisions well stocked. We did run out of toilet paper and paper towels, but with the convenience store on the grounds, even that wasn't hard to replenish. The pin in the listing looked like the unit was back off the ocean front, but in fact it's RIGHT there. What a great experience!

The condo is gorgeous, the view is unbeatable, check-in was a breeze. People come to the beachfront in front of the condo to watch the sunset... We could just sit on our porch and watch while sipping on Kona coffee. The kitchen is gorgeous and well laid out- so it was easy to cook in, even with more than one person. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious... And yes, there is central A/C. We usually had it off so that we could enjoy the ocean breeze and listen to the waves crashing. The true test of any hotel or rental is- would I stay there again and would I recommend it to friends or family? The answer to both questions is unquestionably- yes!

Wow, This Condo has it all . Spectacular View, and very spacious with new appliances and everything you need to enjoy your stay. We made dinners on the BBQ . Recommend the Luau at the Royal Kona Resort . Snorkeling at Honokohau Bay - swam with the turtles. Swimming at Waikaloa Beach Park , nice and Sandy . Coffee tour at Kona Joe's - was worth the price. Learned a lot about Coffee. Took a trip around the island with Rental Car , visiting Hilo - Eat at The Pond and feed the KOI. We will be back to this lovely Condo in the future. Makes a great Home Base for a truly fantastic vacation. Aloha and Mahalo !

My family of 3 stayed at Casa deEmdecko in #138 from June 4-13th and had a fabulous time! The recent remodel is awesome, kitchen & appliances are top notch! The bathrooms are also wonderful.. lots of space & storage! The grounds are very well maintained. We used both pools and the BBQ daily. #138 is an end unit so access to the beach/pools is easy and we watched the sunset nightly from the comfort of our own lanai. The small store on the property was super convenient & the property is centrally located making access to Kona both north & south a breeze. The condo was sparklingly clean.. and very well appointed.. we’ll be repeat guests for sure!!

When you first drive up you notice it's in a gated community, then you go through the doorway and you realize you're sitting on a window overlooking the ocean waves crashing behind you. The sun sets are glorious, the condo is wonderful. The fact that there is a real plastic ice chest makes life so much easier when you're out hiking and snorkeling. The housing is excellent, the rooms are beautiful, and I can't say enough about it. My friends loved it, and all my friends at work are very interested in renting the same place.

Not knowing what to expect on our first visit to the Big Island, the accommodations at Casa deEmdecko exceeded our expectations. Our first floor unit with ocean-facing lanai was beautifully decorated (we loved the table and chairs!) and clean and fresh upon arrival. We found everything we needed that we had expected and more. We especially enjoyed the grill, the salt water pool, and the conch ceremony every evening at sunset. Parking was hit or miss but manageable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return someday.

My wife and I were on our 20th anniversary and loved this unit. The views to the ocean were outstanding ! The condo was very clean and had everything you needed. The unit is spacious and well layed out. Very convenient to downtown Kona and all the happenings but very quite and tranquil here. We just stayed for 8 days at this beautiful condo! It's gorgeously renovated and very comfortable, equipped with whatever you could possibly need! We were able to just chill and relax, which was our plan for that week!!! The complex is very nice and well taken care of, and the residents and other vacationers were very friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed the nightly sunset ritual that one of the residents does every night! We were lucky enough to see the World Championship Large Outrigger Canoe races, which occurred right out front of the condo! We literally had a front row seat on the lanai! We ate all of our meals on the beautiful lanai, while enjoying the spinner dolphins spinning and playing out on the water! Lots of "Para-sails" overhead, and tour boats going by. And, the sunsets were spectacular!!! We plan on returning and enjoying this beautiful condo again!!! Adeline was able to answer any questions we had, and handled anything that we called her about. And she even sends you really funny texts!!! ;>) Loved that girls humor!!! :>D
